The Domino Project

The publishing world is archaic, hasn't evolved in decades.

Taking a closer look at the industry brings us to see that all in all, authors are writing with a sword of damocles above their heads, hoping to be published, losing sight of who their true customer is. Authors write for publishers nowadays, and for best-seller lists. But what if this intermediate no longer existed or was reduced to a less predominant role? What if you could spread your ideas by having a more direct and personal bound with your readers, getting its feedback, benefiting from word-of-mouth? What if you did not have to give up important parts of your work simply because it might not sell?

The domino project is all about this new philosophy, seeking for publishing models of the future and malleable pricing structure. As early as this spring, Seth Godin will launch a new publishing platform powered by Amazon.
